Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1, 1995, at Berkeley California) is an actress. She is an American actress that has appeared on screen in Choices (2010) and The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an actor's family and filmmakers, both occupations that she's pursued. At the age of nine when she began her acting debut in Sergio Ciotti's film Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she portrayed the role of lead in Cristina Comencini's first feature film Zoo. She was also one of Michele's casting in The Church. Red Wood Pigeon was the next year, and Asia as Nanni's daughter. Close Friends was written by Michele Placido and was directed by her. The film was the point at which Asia's career took off, and she moved from young girl roles to mature and complex ones. Cannes International Film Festival was a great achievement for the film. In Trauma she acted for the first time alongside her father, the renowned Italian filmmaker of horror Dario Argento Her mother is one of his favorite actors, Daria Nicolodi, playing an obese girl who is in search of her parents' murderer. Asia has worked with Dario Argento on three movies, Trauma, The Stendhal Syndrome and the Phantom of the Opera. In Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze, Asia's absorbent style of intense acting was well utilized. The role she played as Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista, a physically-disabled girl, was a challenging and complicated role that brought she the David di Donatello award as the most outstanding actress. The film also featured her in a major part as Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995 she worked together with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration won her the David di Donatello prize as well as a Grolla of Oro. Asia started her short film directing career in 1994. In addition, she produced an episode of the film De Generazione. 1996 saw her make a documentary along with her dad. 1998 she directed AbelAsia about the legendary director Abel Ferrara. This film won a prize at the Rome Film Festival. Asia's first feature-length film directed by her was Scarlet Diva where she played the lead actress, and also wrote the screenplay. The film was released globally on May 20, 2000. It won the Brooklyn's special prize at the Williamsburg festival of film.
